My Story

Why I do this work

I have always been drawn to the people other people step back from. The ones who are dying, and the families sitting beside them, unsure of what to say or do.

Somewhere along the way I learned that being present is its own kind of help. You do not need the perfect words. You need someone who will stay, listen, and not look away.

So that is what I do. I walk beside you and your family at the end of life, and I carry some of the weight so you can spend your time on each other.

What I Believe

A few things I hold close

These are the beliefs that shape how I show up for you and your family.

Death is part of life

When we stop hiding from death, we can meet it with more peace and less fear. I want to make it easier to talk about, long before it arrives.

Your choices, your values

There is no single right way to die. My job is to help you make choices that honor your life and the things that matter most to you.

No one should be alone

No one should face the end of life without support, and no family should feel lost in the days around it. You will not be alone in this.

How I Work

Alongside your care team, never in place of it

I am a non-medical companion. I do not replace your doctors, nurses, or hospice team. I work with them, so the medical care stays in their hands and the human care has someone too.

That means I can sit with you for the hard conversations, help you plan on your own terms, and support the people doing the caring. I fill the gaps that a busy care team often cannot.

If you already have hospice, I work right alongside them. If you do not yet, I can help you understand your options and find your footing.

Training & Background

Trained to walk beside you

I trained as an end-of-life doula so I could bring real skill, not just good intentions, to this work.

Beyond the training, what I bring is presence and patience. I keep learning, because every family teaches me something new about how to be useful in a hard moment.

“I cannot take the hard part away. What I can do is make sure you do not have to face it by yourself.”
